TROY group saddle up for corporate team challenge

The last time TROY colleagues were kitted up for a charity cycle challenge was back in 2016 for the epic Strive Challenge, an initiative created by Sam Branson. So we’re delighted to see a few of the team get back into some light training (!) to support the Vitesse Cycling Series which launches in October to spotlight the honourable charity, FirstLight Trust.

Pencil 21st October 2018 into your diaries as it will be a great social gathering for friends and family too, not just the cyclists taking part.

Ticket information will be available soon alongside details of the TROY cycling team.

Press release, 3rd July, London

A new cycling concept is set to debut later this year at Goodwood with over 30 corporate teams expected to take to the start grid on 21st October. The concept has been created to raise awareness and funds for the FirstLight Trust which supports veterans of the Emergency Services and Armed Forces.

At a launch event in Knightsbridge last night, FirstLight Chairman Lady Jane Grovesnor was joined by Vitesse Commercial Director, Mark Thornton to introduce the concept and outline the importance of raising awareness for those leaving the Emergency Services and Armed Forces who can find it hard to adjust.

Lady Jane Grovesnor (pictured on stage below) said, “FirstLight Trust is delighted to be in partnership with the immensely prestigious Vitesse event and are incredibly grateful to the Vitesse team and event partners for their support. We are looking forward to breaking new ground in the way we fundraise and reaching those who need the support FirstLight Trust provides.”

The Vitesse concept will see corporate teams of 6 take part in an innovative team competition format on the famous Goodwood motor circuit. The competition will test individual and team performance with a series of races including team time trial, elimination, cyclo cross and a Keirin. Prizes will be awarded for race winners and the mixed ability teams will score points in each challenge in a bid to top the standings and claim the Vitesse trophy and bragging rights over their city rivals.

Vitesse will offer a platform for business engagement providing the opportunity for client and staff engagement as well as B2B networking and is also designed to enable teams to invite colleagues and family.

Mark Thornton commented, “Our aim was to create the ultimate corporate cycling team challenge that is designed to provide an exciting competition format as well as a premium experience for the teams and their guests. The event will be about much more than the racing with first class hospitality, premium exhibitions from our partners, family rides and other activities to create a memorable day at the races and raise funds and awareness for an incredible cause”.

To help create the premium experience Vitesse has confirmed partnerships with brands including Bamford Watches, Passoni Bikes, ashmei, Powder Byrne, Pelotan, Cactus Tongue and Rouleur.
