New year, new post
The first week of January is always tough. Christmas decorations and festive knitwear get stowed away whilst supplies of chocolate boxes and cheese boards dwindle. Jumping straight back into the routine was our best cure. Most of the TROY team arrived back in office on the 2nd Jan and it was all hands on deck to complete the following Warner Leisure Hotel projects:
Thoresby Hall
Not only is Thoresby Hall enjoying recent media spotlight having been announced as the brand new venue for Outlaw X on 22nd September, but 61 hotel rooms have been successfully refurbished and handed back to a happy client. The project involved polishing a number of their historic rooms boasting original period features.
Nidd Hall
From Nottinghamshire to Harrogate, the hotel team commenced onsite at Nidd Hall carrying out refurbishment works to The Courtyard hotel rooms. Phase 2 got underway in January, which involved further refurbishment to a number of hotel rooms in the main hotel, and is now complete.

Studley Castle
November 2018 saw WLH inject £50 million into refurbishing Studley Castle with approx half used to restore its Grade II listed features and the other half on modernising certain aspects of the castle. TROY hotel team were onsite in December and again this year – we’re delighted to see WLH expand its portfolio. It’s a beautiful hotel – take a look for yourself…
Sinah Warren
It’s been great being back on Hayling Island, working with the Sinah Warren hotel team on a small hotel room refurbishment project. You can read about our previous case study with the hotel team here.

Other project news
On 8th February we completed a 16 week programme for Holiday Inn Express Stratford valued at £1.3m. We refurbished 107 rooms, including the installation of AC to all rooms.
Fast forward a week, we then handed over the first 44 rooms at Holiday Inn Express Oxford. We are now progressing the Great Room, and level 2 rooms (44 of them) which are scheduled to be completed at the end of February. This project, valued £2.7m, involves the refurbishment of 162 rooms, corridors, great room, reception and meeting rooms. Installation of new AC to all rooms.
Tipi Marketing Suite
Tipi are leading the rental rebellion and having refurbished their temporary marketing suite back in 2017, we were delighted to be part of their 2019 relocation to Wembley Park. They opened their doors over the weekend, and the final setup looks great!

We’re growing! In January we congratulated Josh, from our Project Management team, and his wife on the arrival of baby Bebe. We’ve checked with HR, and we have to wait a few more years before we put her to work 😉
